On July 15, a technical forum on digital transformation and development of oil and gas under the background of " carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals" sponsored by ZhenHua Oil was grandly held in Chengdu.
Luo Pingya, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Yang Tao, Academician of Norwegian Academy of Engineering, Sichuan Science and Technology Department, Chenghua District Chengdu, Southwest Petroleum University, Chengdu University of Technology, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), China University of Petroleum (Beijing), Sichuan University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and other institutions of higher learning, enterprises of PetroChina and Sinopec in Sichuan, Chengdu Geological Survey Center of China Geological Survey, Sichuan Energy Investment and other relevant leaders and representatives gathered together to discuss how the traditional oil and gas industry accelerates the green and low-carbon development driven by digital intelligence and helps achieve the "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals". Under the witness of all parties, Wang Yuetao, General Manager of ZhenHua Oil, Zhang Liehui, President of Southwest Petroleum University, and Liu Qingyou, President of Chengdu University of Technology, signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of enterprises and universities.
Focusing on helping to achieve the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, five leading experts and scholars in the industry, namely, Professor Zhao Jinzhou, Former President of Southwest Petroleum University, Professor Liu Qingyou, President of Chengdu University of Technology, Professor Gong Bin of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Professor Song Xianzhi of China University of Petroleum (Beijing), and Yang Tao, Academician of Norwegian Academy of Engineering, delivered special speeches respectively, in which, new progress, new achievements and successful cases of oil and gas geological low-carbonization and research on digital intelligence technologies, such as energy for emissions peaking and carbon neutrality, geological engineering integration technology, intelligent reservoir, geothermal exploitation and low-carbon oil and gas production, were shared. Participants also had in-depth exchanges on the challenges and opportunities of oil and gas upstream development in energy transformation.
The successful holding of this forum will give full play to ZhenHua Oil's advantages in petroleum resources endowment, consolidate the innovation-driven development strategy, and establish and improve a scientific and technological innovation system with enterprises as the main body, market as the guide and deep integration of industry, universities, researchers and users.
